First let me say that the production quality and voice acting are, as always, absolutely top notch! I love DART, and jump at all their new releases.
This is actually my favourite Lovecraft story, or at least one of them. So of course I pre-ordered it immediately.
However, this retelling didn't capture the feel of the original. The addition of the very pulpy American heroics was quite jarring in my opinion. I understand that it is appropriate for pulpy radio theater, especially at that time, but I felt it took away from the original story.
Overall it was good, but don't go in expecting the same as the original story.
