FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How do you ship your products?
A: We ship via the US Postal Service, UPS, DHL and FedEx. Depending on the size or your package and where it's going, you may have a choice among carriers. Sometimes we may only have one option.
Q: How long does it take to get my stuff?
A: Most of our items we have in stock and typically we ship within 36 hours of when you place your order. Our shipments arrive at most destinations in the USA in about 3 days.
Q: Do you ship overseas?
A: Yes, we ship all over the world every day. Our shipments typically take one week to arrive in most parts of Europe, Australia or New Zealand, often less if they go via FedEx. Larger parcels with many items sometimes need extra time to clear customs. Overseas orders include duties and taxes, so there should be no additional charges to you beyond what you pay us.
Q: Are there items you do NOT usually have in stock?
A: The Angell Box is made upon order, and usually takes about a week to prepare. The Russian Cthulhu Amulet comes from Russia and can take even longer if it's not already in stock. Some other prop replica items, such as Deep One Summoning Stones, the Tooth of Dagon, the Eye of Light and Darkness and our Elders Signs can also take an extra day or two to prepare. We'll always email you and let you know when we anticipate being able to ship your order.
Q: When should I order if I need to get presents for Christmas?
A: Depending on which carrier and service you pick, you should be pretty safe ordering up to the 21st opf December if you're in the USA. For overseas customers, we recommend ordering by December 7.
Q: What if I need overnight shipping?
A: It can be expensive, but overnight, two and three day services are usually available.
Q: Are your shipping times guaranteed?
A: The short answer is no. We can't guarantee delivery times as once we hand a package to a carrier, it's literally out of our hands. The carriers do not provide us with guarantees of delivery times and so we cannot offer them to you. When you see something like "3 Day Service" that is the carrier's average delivery time to your destination, but issues like weather can affect delivery times.
Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: It's all determined by the weight of your package and its destination. So, please select the items you'd like and put them in your shopping cart. Go to Check Out and provide your shipping address. Our store will contact all available carriers and give you the options available for your order. You can then still add items or remove items before you complete your order.
Q: Why is shipping so expensive?
A: We provide customers with the best rates we can get from the various carriers. Increases in fuel prices are being passed on to customers, and shipping costs are one of the places you see them most overtly. We don't have a multi-billion dollar warehouse infrastructure like Amazon does. We do our best to get things to you as quickly and inexpensively as we can.
Q: What about duties, taxes and service fees?
A: Depending on where you live, your government may impose additional duties and service fees on imported items. Our store now takes on the complicated job of including all applicable taxes and duties on your order and including those in the price you pay.
Q: You had a sale and I missed it. Can I get the discount anyway?
A: If you are a card-carrying HPLHS member, we will be happy to provide access to special sales or discount offers for up to two weeks before or after the dates of the sale. If you are not a member of the HPLHS, we will be happy to offer a coupon good for a discount off your next purchase.
