I pre-ordered the MP3 download with physical props, and while the download was made available a while ago, I just received the props in the post (I live far from the HPLHS), and so I can finally give a full review.
The DART episode itself is a wonderful tale set in tinsel town, with all the glamour, the stars, and the seedy underbelly you could wish for. It isn't the most frightening episode, but rather a perfect installment in the more adventurous side, snuggling right up to Brotherhood of the Beast and Masks of Nyarlathotep - interestingly, it did give me roleplaying vibes at times, but unlike the other two titles mentioned, I don't think this was actually based on a roleplaying scenario.
Technically, not a fingerto point, this is a top notch project made by top men. Top men.
A special shout out to Sean Branney, who's voice is perfect for a noir detective character.
And the props? Wow! A cornucopia of wonders, more than in your regular DART release, but no skimping on the quality on that account. It's really hard to pick a specific favourite here, but the map has somuch to explore, so that'ssomething worth returning to over and again.
Overall, another outstanding product from the HPLHS. May their reign last long!
