My copy of The Spark Devil arrived today, after being wafted over the depths of the Atlantic - presumably by Byakhee, after the Shoggoths had finished their excellent job of packing it securely.
I've bought a range of items from the good folk of the HPLHS over the years, and I've come to expect quality from them. This Call of Cthulhu campaign set exceeds those high expectations, and the quality of the supplements and items in the set is remarkable. I love ttrpg sets with maps, and we have maps - I wanted a story, a set, that would give me a glimpse into what Lovecraft's Providence might have been like, and I now have that in lavish detail.
I know, I'm babbling like I've had a massive sanity loss here, but it really is that good. I wanted a treat after a difficult few months, what I got instead is a role playing feast. I highly recommend it (in case that wasn't clear)
