There are some things man was not meant to adapt to musical theatre.

The HPLHS Shoggoth on the Roof Cast Album has been whispered of in dark alleys off Off-Broadway. Lawyers have bent paper clips into strange shapes at the very mention of its name. The CD features an ensemble of professional singers (and a few zombies) singing eleven tentacle-tapping musical numbers in a grand and fully-orchestrated production.

Huh? The stories of HP Lovecraft collide with the cherished Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof. The result is an improbable, delightful and disturbing full-length Broadway-style musical featuring Lovecraftian horrors set to familiar tunes. For nearly 30 years, theatre companies have met their doom in attempting to stage this strange and terrible tale of love, family and tentacles. Here, for your enjoyment is a recording of all the numbers from the show.

The CD is, well, you know, just a normal CD featuring 11 songs and 41 minutes of music. And the the CD comes with a free digital download of all the songs from the CD.

It's filled with all the lyrics, photos and other fun stuff. It's the safest way to have a A Shoggoth on your bookshelf.

For the truly mad musical theatre fan we offer our Shoggoth Combo Pack. It's the perfect story adaptation

This is the cosmic horror musical I never new I wanted until I heard it! Been a fan of the Scary Solstice albums for too long now and this is just like a bonus!

A truly otherworldly experience.

A perfect musical interpretation of Lovecraft's work.
Some of these songs could have inspired a new religion in 20s America if they had been performed then.

Singular!

I regret waiting so long to order the set for ASOTR. It is phenomenal. I highly recommend getting the combo pack, because while the songs themselves are catchy and clever, you're missing out on the true brilliance of the play itself if you don't include the libretto and documentary. The songs are that much better when you know the context. If I ever find a few thousand dollars just laying around, I will hire actors myself to produce this!

The Shoggoth on my roof loves this

From someone who has lived in Providence, RI, the haunting ground of HP Lovecraft, to my current abode with an eldritch forest behind, I quite approve of this music. I just wish there were a performance I could watch; one that Great Cthulu would watch from his watery slumbering city, put on by the Deep Ones.
And at last I know what has been making thumping noises on our roof. No, not a turkey, but a shoggoth. We do not live that far from demon-haunted Arkahm.
As for the play and music, an excellent adaptation of how hard it can be to live where there are demons around every corner.
So now, I will go and drink a tonic, as soda is called here; my favorite - Miska-tonic
