Being able to sit down at the gaming table with the HPLHS crew was almost a surreal experience; it felt like casually dropping in on Professor Armitage for a study session at lunch. Speaking of which, the Victorian refreshments were phenomenal; the scones alone are worth the Queen's ransom. Have we truly played a game of Gaslight under the watchful eye-clusters of the Mi-Go, or was the entire experience but a fever dream ? I know not, yet I yearn for more. (Also, I forgot to bring my dice like a total n00b, so my thanks go out to the other players for graciously lending me theirs)

Howls of a madman puncuated the darkness while 6 investigators huddled in around an old wooden table, determined to understand the circumstances surrounding a neighbor's untimely death. The puzzle's key - an odd, homemade radio, broadcasting an unearthly sound.

I had a fantastic time playing The Spark Devil.
It was a great story tied to real history and brought to life by incredible props. Highly recommended.

The Spark Devil CoC scenario review

Sean Branney is a splendid Keeper for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu ttRPG--his dramatic talents shine brightly with each NPC he portrays; he allows players to do what they need while also keeping them corralled into the mystery, he keeps the scenario dramatically paced.

The props for this scenario were outstanding, but that should be old news for the HPLHS.

I have been playing Call of Cthulhu RPG for a few decades, and The Spark Devil was a refreshing diversion.

Highly recommended!

The Spark Devil

I really can't recommend this experience more highly. Being able to play a brand new scenario with Sean as Keeper was a truly memorable couple of nights! The props were out of this world (as you would expect) and the other players were super fun! I'll be keeping my eyes open for future spots at the table!

IÄ HPLHS!

I cannot express how much fun I had! Sean created an immersive world for all of us to explore and investigate! The voices he used made it feel like we were in a DART episode! And the props! The props! I am so happy to be a part of the play test and am now inspired to write my own adventure! Can't wait to be a part of another adventure! Thanks again Sean and thanks HPLHS! IÄ!
