This pre-order item is expected to ship in September of 2025.

The Gentleman from Angell Street collects memories of H.P. Lovecraft as written by some of his home-town companions, C.M. Eddy, Jr. and Muriel E. Eddy. In addition to long-form recollections of the Old Gent by both C.M. and Muriel Eddy, the book will include Muriel Eddy's memorial poems in honour of Lovecraft, correspondence  between and related to the Eddys and Lovecraft, Lovecraft's revisions of Eddy manuscripts, and archival photographs. This spectacular new edition also features a foreword by Sean Branney & Andrew Leman of the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society.

First published as a black-and-white softcover volume by Fenham Publishing, the new Helios House Press offering represents a substantially expanded and embellished edition of The Gentleman from Angell Street—more than doubling its size. With significant new material, an all-new layout and design, and high-quality production values we know this is an edition Lovecraft fans and enthusiasts of weird fiction will not want to miss! The contents will be presented in full colour on quality paper in a hardcover edition featuring a book cloth quarter-binding and beautiful gold foil accents. Informative, Comprehensive, and Beautifully Produced

HPLHS has been collaborating with Helios House on a variety of Lovecraft related volumes for several years now and they are all truly exceptional works. The relationship between the Eddy's and Lovecraft was a very significant one. They were often the first people to hear Lovecraft's newest tale and provided insight and additional information to Lovecraft that helped enhance a number of stories. This volume is an important one for all Lovecraft scholars and fans who want to develop a more in-depth understanding of the man and his writing. Highly recommended.

Well worth the wait!

While I have retired from my involvement with the DART and HPLHS Members groups, I still enjoy their merchandise and will continue to review what I acquire.
My copy of "The Gentleman from Angell Street" arrived today, and it achieves the standards set by the previous Helios House/HPLHS joint efforts.
A quick perusal of the book revealed a wealth of well-illustrated content contained in a handsome volume that is sure to provide an enjoyable reading experience!
