An All-New Poe Recording
The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society is delighted to present this all-new audiobook recording featuring all of Poe's tales and poems (and even his novel and play). Following on the success of our critically-acclaimed audiobook of the Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft, here narrators Andrew Leman and Sean Branney do the reading for this diverse assortment of amazing tales. It features some of the most celebrated short stories in American literature, including:
- The Tell-Tale Heart
- The Fall of the House of Usher
- The Cask of Amontillado
- The Black Cat
- The Pit and the Pendulum
Poe's celebrated poems are here too, including "The Raven", "The Bells", "Anabel Lee" and dozens more. This collection features more than 45 hours of material, including the entirety of Poe's only completed novel, The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, and a full-cast recording of his unfinished drama Politian. All of the recordings include original music by HPLHS composer Reber Clark.

The Collector's Edition also comes with a free digital download so you can start listening immediately.

Q&A
Q: Does this collection feature offensive racist language?
A: There are a few instances where Poe deploys language that was commonplace in the 1800s but is patently offensive today. We have bleeped out the most offensive language.
Q: Wait, is this collection truly "complete"?
A: We have not included Poe's essays or correspondence, but all of his creative works are here, including the unfinished play Politian.
Q: Does the collection include an Introduction or a funny outtake reel?
A: Yes, it has both. We have a brief file that explains how we have managed some typographical conventions (footnotes, for example) into an audiobook. The collection has a longer conversation between the narrators in which they discuss Poe's life and works. And yes, there is a bonus file that documents their challenges in making these recordings (did we mention that there's a lot of French?).
Q: Is this collection made using AI?
A: No. The HPLHS does not use generative AI in any of its products. All of the writing here is by Mr. Poe and the reading, recording, and post-production is by the HPLHS team. The music was composed by Reber Clark, whom we are quite confident is a real human being.
Q: How big is metal casket the USB drives comes in?
A: It measures roughly 4 x 3 x 1/2 inches.
