I was expecting the decal to be roughly twice as large as it really is. Not that I was misled, merely that I hadn't looked closely at the listing. Still, it's all detailed, really applied, and looks fantastic. Would definitely buy a larger version of it was available.
I lease. With every new car, I get a university sticker and a Cthulhu fish. Been doing it for years now.
I've had one on my back window now for a couple of years. Looks great and is showing no signs of coming off
Every one should be proud of their college and this decal helps let the world know where your feelings lie. Good quality and shows up well.
It's sticks well to the front window of my car.
Examined the contents! Wow! So much stuff! Our two gents, Sean and Andrew have done it again. will look forward to this experience.
I love it, and plan to use it when I next go to Providence in August for Necronomicon.
What we have here are PDFs of various countries' passports, and some OE specific content such as a menu, ticket and UK telegram forms for use in Chaosium's "Horror on the Orient Express".
I play exclusively online these days, so I wanted the passports etc for *digital* handouts. I went into the purchase understanding that to make them ready for prime time I'd be importing to GIMP and editing before exporting and loading to Roll20 (my VTT of choice).
What I got in the package was very good for the price I paid.
A star came off because I would have liked to see the passport photo seals and entry/exit "stamps" for the countries encountered in the scenarios as "png" images to put in the passports. I have been unable to source these elsewhere, and lack the skill to make my own convincing stamps.
Those making physical copies could use coins to fake embossing stamps. I believe that was suggested in "Masks of Nyarlathotep" many years ago. Entry/exit stamps could be hand drawn with a marker if one has the skill.
Beautiful prop set and the scenario will be a full blown campagin for my group given how hung up on the little details they get. The little and very attractive bluetooth speaker is so nice and the quality so good, Im going to be using it for more than just this game.
The fine folks over at the HPLHS have really knocked it out of the park with this one.
Although it's a 'considered purchase', having a hefty price tag, on opening the box it's easy to see the quality and value. We haven't played the scenarios yet but on first read through (I'm The Keeper) there's a wealth of detail and supporting material; all of it top notch.
Documentation is well organised, appealing and accessible with plenty of character and atmospheric detail. Downloadable props are also worth a mention.
Worth a special mention is the Bluetooth speaker which is incredible quality, and will get a lot of use for all audio files including our other HPLHS products. Despite its modern technology it still encapsulates the look, feel and aura of a bygone radio age. And in a very portable size that will look and sound good on any gaming table.
All-in-all a fabulous set of documents, props, audio files and Keeper support.
Well done HPLHS and all involved.
