    NOTE: This will be our first DART episode that does NOT contain a CD of the audio. Customers can choose either a download of the audio with props sent via post, or just a download of the audio drama (no props). There is no CD version of The Blood Red Sphinx. 

    SECOND NOTE: The Blood Red Sphinx is a traditional Dark Adventure show - it is NOT interactive; you just turn it on and listen. It is longer than most episodes as it whisks you into the gritty underbelly of Tinseltown during the Great Depression.

    FAQ

    Q: Why isn't this episode on CD?

    A: The Blood Red Sphinx will be over 90 minutes long, which means it is too big to fit on a CD. But it's not quite long enough to justify a second CD.

    Q: Are you abandoning physical media forever?

    A: We have made no such decision, but even this episode still comes with physical media. In fact, we're adding extra props for The Blood Red Sphinx.

    Q:  Does the HPLHS make use of AI in creating this or other DART shows?

    A: All Dark Adventure Radio Theatre shows are created without the use of artificial intelligence. We do not use such tools for writing, performances, music or illustration. We engage the services actual human beings for all of these jobs.

    A Good Listen

    The HPLHS/DART show is a good listen.
    Most enjoyable, dialogue is understandable, the plot moves along very well, the action is straight forward and easy to follow. The characters were fun and yes, even believable. (Well, to the extent of the program. I've met a number of Hollywood typse and they are worse.). All in all, up to the usual fine standards of a DART presentation. My thanks to all those at HPLHS whose talents and efforts pay off so well. I always look forward to these shows.

    The only item I have a problem with is having to listen on the computer. For me it is rather awkward. Being old fashioned and aged (80), I much prefer an LP record or a cd. CD or LP offers a more permanent and easily accessible return to the program. I doubt very much I will purchase another "computer" presentation.

    Thanks again to all concerned with these wonderful shows.

    Great production for another stellar DART production

    Loved this production! Splashed out on the version with the physical props. Living outside the States meant I paid significantly more for the shipping than the excellent hard copies of the full colour map, artwork, and extras. I would happily have paid the same amount if those numbers were switched.

    And lovely to see the DART team working on their own stories now that they've adapted most of the Lovecraft stories I'm aware of.

    Excellent voice performances helped make a very good story even better. Highly recommended.

    I believe the production quality was top-notch. The sound effects to voice acting were on par or better with anything else from a larger company. The writing was good and engaging, but I would prefer more mystical moments. It is a personal preference.
