Dr. Seuss collides hysterically with H.P. Lovecraft's masterpiece of cosmic horror, "The Call of Cthulhu" in this new illustrated book by R.J. Ivankovic.

The most merciful thing in the world, I believe is humanity's failure to fully conceive the cosmical horrors we've yet to reveal, and which up until now I have tried to conceal. The iconic H.P. Lovecraft 1928 story, The Call of Cthulhu, is now a children's book. Seamlessly and gracefully told in anapestic tetrameter by "genius poet-artist" RJ Ivankovic. The late Professor Angell's research has been discovered by his grand-nephew, Francis Wayland Thurston. Francis delves into the papers and discovers a bas-relief depicting an odd creature with an octopoid head, spurring him to read on. He learns of the raid led by Inspector Legrasse and the voyage of the Vigilant, captained by Gustaf Johansen. This glorious full color 102-page adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft story was written and illustrated by R.J. Ivankovic.

Great Dr.Seuss-like take on CoC

Wonderful adaptation!
This was bought for nephew of a colleague to read at bedtime.
At conclusion, nephew asked "Is Cthulhu going to be all right?"
Touching.
My other colleagues thought getting this for a 6 year old was hilariously subversive. Yes.....

Such a joy!

Having read Call of Cthulhu to death this is a joyful edition of the story. It had me giggling though-out. The art and the poetry capture Dr Seuss perfectly.......just with added cults and tentacle faced folk

Oh the innocence

I get a chuckle from our guest that knows the stories of HPL in Dr. Seuss form but their children reaction was “meh” Gravity Falls is much weirder. I say “soon, soon when you get older you will know the true tail of horror”. Ehh who am I kidding, awesome mashup though

This was amazing

Sat down and read this book to my wife who has never read Call of Cthulhu or any Lovecraft and she enjoyed it which is a great success and just about as positive a review as I could give.
