A Lovecaftian Tribute to Poe

In 1936, H.P. Lovecraft, Robert H. Barlow and Adolphe de Castro visited St. John’s churchyard in Providence, RI, and composed acrostic poems in memoriam to Edgar Allan Poe. These poems are presented here in this stylish little volume along with two later poems by Maurice W. Moe and Henry Kuttner and an essay about all of them by Lovecraft scholar David E. Schultz. Finally, we have included a Kuttner-authored memorial acrostic for Lovecraft and an August Derleth-penned poem mentioning the acrostic episode.

First published as a bonus item for buyers of The Shunned House: Recluse Replica Whipple Edition from Helios House Press and the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society in 2024, this booklet is now available individually. It is softbound in black paper with silver foil accents.

Any time I purchase something from the HPLHS I find that they put a lot of thought into the content and a lot of quality into the finished product. Eternal Broods The Shadows is no exception. It is a nice addition to my collection of old & new HPL memorabilia.

A neat little book

This is a cool little poetry book that HPL wrote with a friend. This is definitely worth a read.

Great shirt!

Really nice quality shirt with a good fit.

Beyond Impressive!

I have never seen the consistent attention to detail that our friends at HPLHS lavish on their products anywhere else, but this takes the cake! I was skeptical of whether I “needed” yet another edition of the Complete Lovecraft until, being in California on a visit, I visited the headquarters and was immediately hooked by this set. Let’s just say that, as a member with an “Elder Thing” stamp, everything in it has a delightfully antiquarian feel, and is of the finest quality. The two volumes of works are printed and bound just as one finds in used and rare bookstores, and the Reader’s Guide is exquisite, as well as being very informative - a great companion to Klinger’s annotated volumes. And the accompanying “artifacts” - I mean, who thinks of including a template for lettering one’s own name authentically onto the enclosed Miskatonic Bachelors Degree?? HPLHS, that’s who. I wouldn’t part with it - it is all about the Experience. And thank you Andrew & Sean for the autographs! Dear fellow cultists: snap this up while it’s available!

I Love this Decal!!

This the third time I have ordered this decal. It looks that good!

An excellent change from the usual Xmas fare!

The wife loves Xmas and plays the music on a loop starting after Halloween. This was such an amazing change of pace that far more suited my eldritch tastes. Glorious for the Solstice!

Great stuff

Five stars as always. The old time radio show adaptations are a fun listen, and the production value of packaging and props is top notch
