Was surprised the songbooks were so professional

I'm usually not one for listening to Holiday music a lot, but I love this album. The music is great, the new texts definitely fun, and the production value is really high. I definitely will make A Very Scary Solstice a Holiday tradition from now on.

I have been hearing these songs for years, and I hardly remember the original lyrics. My wife and I sing them every year. Now that I have the CD, song book and digital download I am delighted.

Excellent Props

These PDFs are absolutely amazing. I'd give more stars, if I could.

Pro: The amount of detail that each contains (especially with the passports and the university course book) is astounding, as there are little details that are include that could have easily been omitted. The variety of materials is also great, from major items (like the various driver's licenses and transportation tickets) to smaller, everyday things (like ID cards and bus transfer slips).

Con: A lot of the smaller items are solo on a single sheet, meaning that a lot of paper will be wasted. I would love for some of the cards to be framed in such a way that more than one copy can be produced on a single sheet. I also would love to simply flip the page over and print the backside on the same sheet of paper, rather than having to fold and glue front-and-back together. My biggest issue, however, is with the newspaper, as it's not possible to print without a large-size printer (at least, legibly). If I could print in sections, then I could glue or tape sheets together, but as-is, I need to come up with a "Plan B."

All the same, I still think that this is a phenomenal set. I have the other PDF sets that the Society sells, and I'm eagerly awaiting any new ones that might come down the way. Definitely recommended!

Cool Catalog

Very nice multi-lingual catalog of interesting artifacts. I was curious about it (hence my purchase), so I don't have an immediate use for it right now. I have a few ideas based on the items mentioned, which I hope to use soon. Definitely worth having.

The Whisperer In Darkness

It's hard to believe that The Whisperer In Darkness was created so recently. The artists that made it have captured the look, feel, and texture of a 1930s movie which is faithful to the original text and appropriate for it. The attention to detail is inspiring - from the language used by the actors, down to the use of retro technology. Highly recommended.

Excellent

Much better than I was expecting. The monologue at the end is very moving and the duo-chrime is used to great effect.
