The Carven Horror

Cultists of all stripes worship Cthulhu and celebrate his strange alien form. This new Cthulhu totem is sculpted by the gifted Joe Broers and imagines Cthulhu carved from a piece of old wood. It looks like the kind of thing you'd find in an untraveled corner of the Pacific Northwest.

The totem is cast in polyurethane resin but has a convincing heft and aged wood finish to it. It's roughly 4 inches tall by two inches wide and deep. We like this totem a lot and think you'll find a a great addition to your collection.

NOTE: this product is cast in polyurethane resin. It is NOT made of wood, it just looks like wood.

Amazing Piece!

Absolutely love the quality and workmanship on this item! The attention to detail and coloring is on point, and it has a good heft to it; a real steal for the price!

A fresh angle on a theme of Eld

Looking as if it was carved from a wooden block deliberately cut for the purpose, the weight and hardness of this piece are suggestive instead of stone. That in turn implies a far older date for this well-rendered sculpture, taking this to be now really petrified or fossilised wood, and carved in pre-human times before that happened. A cut across the wings at the back seems of only somewhat more recent date than the carving, although it might be much more modern, if using a sufficiently strong, sharp blade. The base is not entirely level, consistent with the wood having warped slightly before or during petrifaction, such that while the piece will stand upright, it does so at a small, and mildly unstable, angle to the creature’s left. Some might see that as a sinister, or wrong, angle. Overall, the object is of an ideal size and form to be displayed unobtrusively, and to be readily portable, perhaps as a cultic totem.

Nice statue

It looks cool, it's a good size for display, and light enough to be easily taken to games and events.

Pretty cool.

I really like this. It has a little heft to it and feels like it was found in a swamp somewhere.
