The men of Innsmouth didn't sing their sea shanties quite like other sailors. Through the scholarship of Miskatonic's own folklorist, Prof. Albert Wilmarth (Ph. D.), and musicologist Carlton J. Connolly (A. Mus. D.), these fascinating variants have come to light.

Ten years after Dr. Connolly's untimely death, the Music Department of Miskatonic University honored his work by recording the Innsmouth shanties for the first time. You'll marvel as the Miskatonic Connolly Memorial Men's Chorus performs the Innsmouth variants of: What Shall We Do with the Drunken Sailor, Spanish Ladies, Blow the Man Down, and many more performed in the style of New England's proud maritime tradition.

This compact disc is made in faux black vinyl and features fourteen songs, performed by professional singers and salty shantymen with traditional accompaniment. See customer reviews at the bottom of this page.

No complaints

My order shipped promptly and reached me quickly, which, during the holiday season, is no mean feat. I haven't listened to the CDs yet, as I have a backlog of music already, but based on prior orders, I'm sure that I will be pleased, as I always have been to date.

Great variations of classic sea shanties with a livecraftina twist.

Wonderful

I love this CD, the songs are really cleverly put together, I’ve been into folk music and sea shanties all of my life, this is a great addiction to my CD collection. I’d give it five stars, but the copy I received had a defect on track 10, which rather spoils the whole album.

Just fun

The songs are really fun. The familiar references to Lovecraft's story are well woven into the stories. I didn't really expect the quality of the music/singing to be that high as it seemed more a novelty item, but the singers are good, and the music quality is too.

Wonderful

I absolutely love this CD. Most of the songs are set to traditional sea shanty melodies, and the lyrics are very humorous Lovecraftian lore. Thanks for making this.
