Ogham Waite, Innsmouth's most celebrated amphibian singing sensation, swam ashore to play a live gig at Stockholm's Kulturhuset in 2012. It was feared that the master recordings from that show were irreparably damaged by salt water, but fortunately they were lovingly remastered as this extraordinary performance is now available to the public. The digital download features live performances of:

  • You Notice My Head
  • Blue Seas
  • My Slimy Cephalopod
  • The Very Scent of You
  • Some Wonderland Overseas
  • Somewhere Under the Ocean
  • Ebb Tide
  • When You've Got the True Marsh Eyes
  • You Notice My Head (Reprise)
Ogham's croak-tastic vocals are backed by his Amphibian Jazz Band featuring Sten Forsmann on bass, Wilgot Hansson on drums, Conny Laxell on percussion, Johan Zetterlind on horns, and led by Dr. Harald Lindell. Hear for yourself the man the Stockholm Konstig Tidning called "Hälften man - hälften fisk - hudra procent underhällare!"
Few of those who attended the live Stockholm performance have survived, but it was captured on videotape, and this collection of music also includes a private link to the nearly hour long concert video edited and produced by the incorrigible Davey Robertson, cinematographer extraordinaire.

get this for the link to the "live" mythoscope film recording

This is a lot of fun. If you liked his Innsmouth recording, you'll enjoy the video of this also very good set, presumably on the same tour. The Mythoscope treatment on this and anything else is a brilliant touch.

The Waite is over

I was a fan of the original Ogham Waite recording, and have been hoping for more ever since - well, the wait is finally over!
A real life live recording of the old gent's visit to Stockholm, Sweden, in 2012 is quite a treat, and even though most songs are the same as on the Gilman House album, there are of course small variations, as live albums will have.
As a special bonus, we also get to see the show, as someone was kind enough to record it, and make it available to us here as a weblink. It isn't a Hollywood quality recording, but you can sense the fun everyone had at the time.

Very nice, but a small caveat

While the music is very enjoyable and the audio quality is good, for some reason they come without filled in ID3-tags in the mp3 files so any player or music service cannot sort them by artist, album or track number. Should be an easy fix for the HPLS to do on their server end.
