Leave Those Kids Alone

What could have been a one night adventure turned into 3 full sessions of pure suspense, action, horror and sometimes comedy due to bad die rolls 🤣. This was a highly detailed and high stakes session that surprised me due to the unexpected climax of having to battle a murderous group of supernatural powered kids on bmx bikes, who almost took out a group of seasoned agents! To our awesome Game Master, Peter and our incredible host, Sean, thank you for an awesome Game Night!

Oh the innocence

I get a chuckle from our guest that knows the stories of HPL in Dr. Seuss form but their children reaction was “meh” Gravity Falls is much weirder. I say “soon, soon when you get older you will know the true tail of horror”. Ehh who am I kidding, awesome mashup though

An Entertaining Hour

Another very enjoyable radio play from HPLHS. Excellent production values, the artwork is right up there, and the voice acting almost perfect - personally, I thought Asenath’s voice should have been “younger”, maybe more like Mae West???
And of course the backing music was just right. Definitely a worthwhile addition to the inventory.

Not the Best….

I’m sorry to have to write this, but The Temple isn’t one of DART’s better efforts. The script departed substantially from Lovecraft’s tale and wasn’t an improvement. I particularly found the phoney German and British accents to be like nails on a blackboard after about ten minutes. By the end of the story I was just longing for it to be over. And the jingoistic propaganda and the psychopath U-Boat Captain was WAY overdone. Again, I feel awful for bagging a DART production, but that’s how I saw it. Can’t say I will ever bother listening to this one again.
Note: I only bought the MP3 download. The props version might be worth it just for them.
