"The hills of western Massachusetts contain dark and terrible secrets..."

Dark Adventure Radio Theatre®: The Dunwich Horror brings Lovecraft's tale to life as it might have been adapted for radio during his lifetime. In the style of The War of the Worlds, The Shadow and other classic vintage radio plays, Dark Adventure Radio Theatre® dramatizes HPL's story with a huge cast of professional actors, exciting sound effects and thrilling original music by Troy Sterling Nies (composer for The Call of Cthulhu). Relive the excitement of 1930s radio with one of the most popular tales of the Cthulhu Mythos: The Dunwich Horror.

The hills of Western Massachusetts contain dark and terrible secrets. Strange families keep to themselves and practice rites of ancient and unspeakable black magic. These dreadful and unholy rituals give birth to a monstrosity beyond imagination, a monstrosity that threatens mankind itself! Can a brave handful of intrepid scholars hope to confront the otherwordly destruction of “The Dunwich Horror”?

In addition to the full 75-minute radio drama on CD, you'll get these carefully made props from the story to enhance your listening experience:

• A clipping from a 1917 copy of the Arkham Advertiser describing the Whateley family and the strangeness of the Dunwich region

• A vintage map of Dunwich, Sentinel Hill and the surrounding region

• A page from Wilbur Whateley's diary with its bizarre occult cypher*

• A replica of a key page from the Whateleys' copy of John Dee's Necronomicon

And of course it's beautifully produced and packaged with the same deranged attention to detail that you'll find in other HPLHS products. And if you order the CD, it now includes a free download of the MP3 so you can start listening immediately!

The cover art by Darrell Tutchton is available on t-shirts in various styles and other fun merch in our Redbubble store!

Or Download Now. You can skip the props and CD, and download a high-quality MP3 of the show right now and be enjoying it in just a few minutes. It's eco-friendly, with no shipping or tax charges!

NOTE: The lovely and talented McKerrin Kelly performed in The Dunwich Horror. Her name was inadvertently omitted from the cast list at the end of the recording. We apologize for the omission.

Yet Another Great One

I have purchased these in the past, always .p3 with props. I really love the ephemera that is included with these Radio plays and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys this type of media. Get one on a CD if that's how you roll too!

Beware the horror is real...

And by real I mean real exciting, another great DART production. I love all the casts acting and I love the little add ons for immersion.

Brilliant adaptation of Lovecrafts works!

I discovered DART by chance, and decided to give it a go, as I always loved listening to old radio shows with my best friend as a kid. These Radio Theatres are fantastic, and a great way to get someone who's never read or heard of HP Lovecraft. Due to the nature of a radio show, it still allows the imagination run wild as you picture everything in your head. I'll be returning to purchase the collection in it's entirety soon.

Stay sane, or not.

Yours in R'lyeh,
Taylor White
