On the anniversary of H. P. Lovecraft's death (March 15, 1937) we're honoring him and sharing some of the joy he's brought us by offering a free download of our audiobook "At the Mountains of Madness".
The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society recorded the story as part of our Collected Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft audiobook. Now the recording is available for the first time as a standalone download. Read by Sean Branney of the HPLHS, the recording is approximately four hours and twenty minutes long. The text is edited by Lovecraft scholar S.T. Joshi and the recording features original music by Troy Sterling Nies.
A scientific expedition to the southern continent reveals amazing new facts about the planet's history. But these are soon overshadowed by dreadful tragedies and staggering revelations about unseen horrors lurking beneath the ice and snow.
Working from home? Quarantined? Just like a good Lovecraft story? Regardless, be well and enjoy with our compliments.
